A MavCARD is an essential part of campus life at UNO, providing access to services, facilities, and more. Follow these steps to get your MavCARD.

Instructions for Obtaining your MavCARD

To recieve a MavCARD, the following steps must be completed:

  • Enroll in at least one (1) class
  • Complete online Orientation (this is optional, but strongly encouraged)

In-Person Process

To obtain a MavCARD in person, visit the MavCARD Services Office, located on the second floor of the Milo Bail Student Center in Room 216. During peak periods, such as the beginning of the semester, anticipate longer office wait times and plan accordingly.

The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., excluding university recognized holidays.

Be sure to bring a valid photo ID and your University issued NUID number.

Once a person’s information has been verified, a MavCARD will be printed and issued during a person’s visit.

TIP: Submitting a photo a few days in advance through MavCARD GET Online or the MavCARD GET Mobile App (Download for Apple or Android) can help expedite the process.

Important Note: Uploading a photo online does NOT automatically print the card.

MavCARD Mail and Pick-Up Request Process

How the Process Works

Start by submitting a photo through the GET Mobile Application. All photos are manually reviewed by MavCARD Services staff. A confirmation email will be sent indicating whether the photo is approved or denied. If denied, the issue must be corrected and a new photo must be submitted until it is accepted. Instructions and requirements are available on the MavCARD Photo Guidelines Page.

After submitting a photo, complete the MavCARD Services DocuSign form. During the form process, a delivery method must be selected: either in-person pickup at the MavCARD Services Office or mailing to the address provided on the request form.

Once the form is submitted, MavCARD Services will review and process the request. Processing typically takes five to seven business days from the submission date. After processing is complete, an email will be sent with the completed form attached. The completed form must be opened to view the request status (Approved or Denied). If denied, a reason will be provided, and a new form must be submitted after the issue is corrected.

When Will a Mailed MavCARD Be Delivered?

Mail delivery timelines are not guaranteed and may vary. MavCARDs will not be mailed to incoming housing students within three weeks of their official move-in date. If a MavCARD is not received prior to move-in, it must be picked up in person at the MavCARD Services Office (MBSC 216).
