Flags Lowered to Honor Atlanta Shooting Victims

The U.S., Nebraska, and UNO flags will be lowered through sunset on Monday, March 22. Read for Chancellor Gold's statement on combating racism and hate.

On Thursday, March 18, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, in accordance with a proclamation from President Biden, announced that all U.S. and Nebraska flags are to be flown at half-staff to honor and remember the victims of shootings in metro Atlanta, Georgia that took place on March 16, 2021.

The full proclamation can be read on the White House website.

Chancellor Gold also made a statement, on behalf of the UNO, which was sent to campus community on March 18.
