Flag Lowering for Janine Brooks
The UNO flag will be lowered on Wednesday, Sept. 22, in memory of UNO employee Janine Brooks, who passed away on Sept. 12, 2021, at the age of 55.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Wednesday, Sept. 22, in memory of UNO employee Janine Brooks.
Janine passed away on Sept. 12, 2021, at the age of 55. She was a staff associate in the Chemistry Department since 2008 and was also a UNO alumna, earning a master's degree in English in 2018.
Janine is survived by her daughter Allye; parents Duane and Janice; sisters and brother: Jeanette Herron, Bobbie, Pat, Diane Costanzo, and Katie.
A service was held for Janine on Saturday, Sept. 18.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Janine's loved ones during this time.
