Flag Lowering for Joe Huebner
The UNO flag will be lowered on Tuesday, Oct. 26, in memory of Huebner, a UNO retiree, who passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at the age of 72.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, in memory of UNO retiree Joe Huebner.
Joe passed away on Oct. 19, 2021, at the age of 72. He worked at UNO for 42 years until his retirement in 2016. At the time of his retirement Joe was the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance.
Also an alumnus, Joe earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNO in 1971.
Joe is survived by his wife, Glenda Huebner, and children, Chad Huebner, and Kari Hamrick. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Gavin, Corbin, and Grant.
A celebration of life was held for Joe on Friday, Oct. 22.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Joe’s loved ones during this time.
