Rachel Radel (Manager of Employee Relations, Development, and Talent Acquisition) and Ellie Luna (Talent Acquisition Onboarding and Ops Specialist) for the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Human Resources Department, have been named UNO's Employees of the Month for February. Radel and Luna were praised for their problem-solving skills, organization, and commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient implementation of SuccessFactors.
One of their nominators said: "This honor must be shared by both Rachel and Ellie as they have tackled (and excelled with) an exceedingly difficult task as both were charged with the implementation of SuccessFactors. Not only have the two of them taken part in numerous long meetings preparing for the implementation, but they have skillfully handled the initial testing of SuccessFactors with grace, aplomb, and amazing efficiency."
They thoroughly tested the system by coordinating a large group of employees, and conducting multiple tests simultaneously. This approach, their organization skills, and attention to detail helped streamline the process.
The nominator continued, "they took what was meant to be two weeks of testing and knocked it out in six days thanks to detailed scripts that let all testers onboard fictional employees all the way from the initial creation of a job requisition to an employee's first day on the job. Rachel and Ellie could not have handled this task any better."
For being named as Employee of the Month, both received a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by the Maverick Store (formerly the UNO Bookstore), a monetary award, tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
