UNO’s Kripke-Veret Collection Highlights Community and Student Experiences

The University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Criss Library Archives and Special Collections is showcasing a new display from the Kripke-Veret Collection, with a special focus on books that explore community and student experiences. The display, highlighted in The Jewish Press, includes a selection of works that reflect themes central to UNO’s mission, such as Jewish communities in Omaha and the Midwest, college fraternities and sororities, and Holocaust survival stories.

Housed at UNO since 2020, the Kripke-Veret Collection is the largest book donation ever received by the library, with over 36,500 scholarly works. This unique collection serves as an invaluable resource for research, education, and fostering a deeper understanding of diverse communities and histories.

The collection’s display highlights UNO’s commitment to preserving and sharing important cultural and historical narratives.
